Our Mission

Bringing moments of relief, joy and escape to teens spending significant time inpatient for life-threatening illnesses through Escape Bags containing high-quality wireless headphones, food delivery cards and much more.  

Alex Weed was diagnosed with Lymphoma at the age of 16.  He relapsed at 17 and underwent a bone marrow transplant in July 2017.  It was during this time that the idea for OneLessWire was born to help other teens escape treatments with one less wire.

Our amazing team of board members consists of individuals personally impacted by cancer either as a patient, a parent, or a child.  Our board has a heart for teens battling pediatric cancers and other life-threatening illnesses that steal childhood moments.
